Open wide baby boy!

This is Bonnie. Her owners didn't care for her properly so when she ended up here, her growth was stunted, and had an old fracture of her pelvic bone that didn't heal correctly so she couldn't really climb or walk normally. Those cute baby iguanas pet stores like to sell with 10 gallon tanks......PLEASE, do your research before purchasing an animal like this! They can reach 4-5 feet in length and can be very aggressive at times.

We are constantly heartbroken and dismayed by the number of senior pets that people relinquish to shelters because they no longer suit the owners needs. Abandoned by perhaps the only family they have ever known, to face the unknown, often euthanised because no one wants an "older" pet.
Please take care of your pets when they get old. You too will grow old one day.......
PLEASE consider adopting a senior pet!
